Trust

I wrote yesterday abouts faithfulness and how it is something we can each rely on. I am aware that the corresponding grace to trust seems to be a theme at this time through out the body of Christ. There is great song from Hillsongs called Oceans. It captures the heart of what God is doing in so many people. The words in the Bridge of the song are:

Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior

The whole song is about trust, but this part of the song captures it well. Wherever I go I see God using this song. It is because it is resonating with what God is doing and the journey that each one of us is on. He is causing His bride to step out of the boat, out of the normal of everyday and trust Him.

I am constantly praying that I will trust more. Trust, however, requires an action. It is resting in His faithfulness. It is believing who He says He is and stepping out. It is trusting that He is faithful. We can trust Him. In a world of broken trust He is the one to lean upon.

Lord, forgive me where I have not trusted you, give me grace to trust you and today I pray for opportunities to get out of the boat I greater trust. Thank you Lord that you are faithful to me. In Jesus name Amen.
