Each one of us has a different story of how God broke into our lives. Some were saved dramatically, others over a period of time. The common thread however would be the same, faithfulness. We would all testify that the Lord has been faithful, because that is who He is, it is part of His character and nature. When you read the writings of Paul you see it again and again, he sums it up well here.

“He will also keep you firm to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭1:8-9‬ ‭NIV‬‬

He is faithful to us. He keeps his word. We can rely on Him. In a world where keeping your word is a relative term, that God keeps His word is precious and powerful. So many have been let down by others and project onto God that same expectation but that is not who He is.

Over the last two years the Lotd has been speaking to me particularly about two things. Knowing who He says He is and who He says I am. Paul knew the Lord as faithful, He is. He cannot deny His own character, our task is to rest in His faithfulness, to lean on Him and trust that He will keep his word. When the world around is like shifting shadows He is my true North, He is the one I trust. The more I lean into Him and trust His faithfulness to me the more is seem to see it manifest in my life.

Father thank you for your faithfulness to me, give me grace to take you at your word, Lord remind me of your promises and give me grace I pray to lean on you knowing that you won’t let me down. In Jesus name Amen.
