Jesus has been praying in the Garden of Gethsemane when the large crowd armed with swords and clouds come to arrest him. A disciple draws his sword, to which Jesus responds.
“Put your sword back in its place,” Jesus said to him, “for all who draw the sword will die by the sword. Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels? But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen in this way?” (Matthew 26:52-54 NIV)
We have to remember Jesus is the word of God.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:1, 2, 14 NIV)

I come back hear again and again to remind myself that He is the Shepherd. When I go astray he comes after me and brings me back with rejoicing. He leads me to good pasture, though the path is not always easy, I will trust in Him, I will put my hope in Him knowing that the path will lead to good. He lead me beside still waters, where the drinking is easy. Yet, the questions of life cause distrust and self reliance to come in, thinking I can find my own path and my own way. Why do we question Him? The one who knows all things, who knows the end from the beginning cares for me and you.
