We gloss over the passage in our unbelief. And think that this concerns those things that are deeply spiritual and fundamentally we don’t believe god cares for our weak frames with an everlasting love. Why not wait on God for a few moments and think about the truth of the what it is saying. Whoever (that includes you) believes what he says will come to pass, it will happen. Now that seems a bit extreme, if you believe it will be done? Yes. However, the next line elaborates this. Of all the titles of God, this is one of my favourites. The revealed of mysteries. Daniel spoke it out when he was bought before king Nebuchadnezzar. I often think of what seems like the impossible task of not only interpreting a dream but to also tell someone the dream they had in the first place. There is no room for error, and the nature of dreams is that they can be about anything and you can do almost anything in them. But Daniel’s certainty came from knowing the Lord, knowing the truth of who he is – the revealed of mysteries.
On arrival in Babylon, daniel and his companions did not eat the kings food and only ate vegetable and drank water. It says that god gave them knowledge and understanding of all kinds of literature and learning and Daniel could understand visions and dreams of all kinds.
